A new Derenoncourt Vignerons Consultants event format
As the wine world evolves at breakneck speed, Derenoncourt Vignerons Consultants set out to create a new kind of gathering: an event rooted in substance, flavour, and storytelling — designed to unite, and to showcase the estates we advise.
On 1 April 2025, the first edition of Terroirs en Scène took place at the Pavillon Wagram in Paris, bringing together 29 estates from Bordeaux, the South-West, Burgundy, Cahors, and further afield — Morocco, Turkey, and even Liechtenstein.
Producers, restaurateurs, merchants, journalists, sommeliers, agents, and influencers gathered for a unique sensory journey celebrating the diversity of terroirs and the living dialogue between wine and gastronomy.
A stage for taste and ideas
Designed as an immersive experience, Terroirs en Scène shone a light on both characterful wines and exceptional produce: Cap Ferret oysters (Joël Dupuch), Gascon black pork (La Ferme de Massinie), olive oil from Domaine de Léos, smoked fish (Fumette), pâté en croûte from Pèle Cochon, bread from Jean-Luc Poujauran, Pierre Gimonnet & Fils champagne, Roborel de Climens chocolate and whisky, and more.
Throughout the day, guests tasted current vintages from the estates, guided by our consulting team on hand throughout.
Three masterclasses added depth to the programme:
- “Native grape varieties: rediscovering diversity”
- “Stems: a response to climate challenges”
- “Decoding the 2024 vintage”
Each session shed light on current trends, sparked discussion on technical and stylistic issues, and extended our consulting work in a shared, collective format.
