Every team has someone who takes a different path. Born in Bordeaux, Romain didn’t pursue a traditional oenology degree and took time to decide on a career, but with one condition: it had to be connected to nature. He went on to complete a BTS in viticulture and oenology before gaining hands-on experience at the Von Neipperg vineyards. Stéphane Derenoncourt spotted his talent early, bringing him first into Domaine de l’IA and later into the consultancy in 2010, before naming him partner in 2015.
